Conquering brain death: The Human brain is capable of making the impossible, possible!

Girl's family seeks reversal of brain-death ruling

The saddest part of this story to me comes from reading the comments and the public opinion about this case. It is unfortunate that the very people who have chosen to protect, repair and save lives have convinced the vast majority of people that it cannot be done. If everyone accepts death over life, rather than use the fullest extent of our human capabilities to find solutions to saving life from unwanted death, we will always be forced to accept death as inevitable. If that were the case when artificial hearts & other medical technologies were being developed, many lives would have been lost that could otherwise be prolonged.

The only thing more powerful than a human brain are multiple human brains working together. We are overdue in finding the solution to brain death. We are capable of it. But not if we give up on finding solutions and accept that it is impossible. When doctors, hospitals and medical officials would prefer to lobby for death rather than life, there does not seem to be much hope. Many people have lost loved ones experiencing similar denial that Jahi's mother feels. Most have also been convinced to agree that giving up was the better solution. It is beyond the actual tragedy of lives lost, when there is no serious push beyond what seems impossible. Humans have always figured out a way to do the impossible and will continue to do so as long as we believe in possibilities.
